As a Permits Coordinator supporting our Pre-Construction team, you will play a key role in acquiring and managing the permits required for a wide range of ICI, Residential, and P3 projects across the GTHA. You will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our projects by ensuring all regulatory requirements are met efficiently and accurately.
• Assist the Pre-Construction Manager in organizing and securing all required permits and approvals.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, project managers, and authorities to prepare and submit permit applications.
• Communicate with municipal departments, building inspectors, and by-law officers to relay accurate and timely information.
• Prepare monthly reports on permit status, expected timelines, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Provide guidance on Ontario Building Code, zoning by-laws, and related application requirements.
• Ensure compliance with document management systems and project administration protocols.
• Establish realistic timelines and resolve issues related to drawings, conflicts, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Schedule and document project meetings, liaising with regulatory agencies and building authorities.

This role could be for you if you have

• 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator role, ideally with exposure to permitting processes.
• Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Procore.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction materials, and municipal regulations.
• Ability to interpret site, building, and technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to municipal offices across Ontario.
• University degree or college diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or Construction Management.
