Design, develop, and maintain technical solutions to support preconstruction operations, with a focus on data integration, process automation, and system optimization, in collaboration with R&D teams and business stakeholders.
What you will do:


🔹 Technical Responsibilities

• Design and implement data integration pipelines (ETL/ELT) between preconstruction tools and enterprise systems.
• Automate manual workflows using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell…) or low-code platforms.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all preconstruction databases.
• Prepare and structure data for analysis and reporting needs, ensuring quality, consistency, and accessibility for BI teams.
• Develop data models, SQL views, and queries to feed analytical tools.
• Contribute to the definition and evolution of data models used in preconstruction tools.
• Document technical specifications, data models, and integration processes.
• Use available APIs from third-party platforms (e.g., Beck Technology) to integrate and synchronize data with internal systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues related to data flows and tool functionality.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies relevant to construction tech and data engineering.
• Maintain best practices and technical standards across all divisions.
• Participate in business technology projects as a technical expert and tester, contributing to the validation and deployment of data integration and automation solutions.
• Contribute to the adoption of critical tools and technologies by delivering robust, well-documented technical solutions and promoting best practices in data integration and automation.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to data integration and construction tech, including participation in conferences and technical events.
• Participate in testing and experimentation of new technologies and integration approaches in collaboration with R&D and innovation teams.

🔹 Support Responsibilities

• Manage change requests.
• Work with division leaders and project teams to identify problems and challenges, and understand what innovations are being implemented locally.
• Oversee and optimize the preconstruction database to support team productivity and process efficiency.
• Create and maintain support materials, including self-help knowledge articles.
• Manage established “Problems” (coordinate diagnosis, develop a resolution plan, engage necessary stakeholders, and resolve the identified issue).
• Respond to employee questions regarding tools and processes, in collaboration with internal experts or external vendors.
• Document technical processes, data flows, and system configurations to ensure clarity, maintainability, and alignment with integration standards.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors to resolve data integration or system-related issues.
• Provide technical documentation and support to enable business teams and partners to effectively adopt and use integrated data solutions.

🔹 Other Responsibilities

• Travel to divisions and jobsites as necessary.

This role could be for you if you have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data integration, software development, or in technical roles related to construction or preconstruction
• Familiarity with construction and estimating technologies is preferred: (Sage, E‐takeoff Bridge, OnScreen Takeoff, CostX, Building Connected)
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate work efforts
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and other computer applications
