As an Expeditor working in the Industrial team at Pomerleau, you will ensure that suppliers adhere to agreed-upon delivery schedules and meet the quality standards defined by the Logistics and Material Management team. Working on large-scale Industrial projects – ranging from $50 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with our different internal departments as well as be the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding delivery deadlines.
What you will do

• Monitor supplier manufacturing and delivery schedules to ensure adherence to agreed-upon timelines.
• Maintain a comprehensive record of all purchase orders and delivery statuses.
• Track internal approvals both in terms of quality and technical aspects.
• Coordinate and schedule inspections and tests with relevant departments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding delivery deadlines.
• Communicate with internal departments such as Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics and Material department to provide updates on delivery status when required and stay informed of any changes that may affect deliveries.
• Identify potential delays and work proactively with suppliers to mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of interactions with suppliers and delivery statuses.
• Ensure follow-up on supplier document management and shipping to meet project deadlines.
• Prepare regular reports on supplier performance and delivery indicators for management review.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance supplier performance and delivery reliability.

This role could be for you if you have

• You have an educational background in Supply Chain Management, Business.
• Administration or other related field.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely deliveries.
• An understanding of the manufacturing context of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel Advanced, Word, PowerPoint).

• Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
