As a Controller within Pomerleau's accounting team, you will plan, direct and coordinate the operational functions related to subsidiary accounting and financial compliance for one or more large-scale building and infrastructure construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion.
What you will do :
• Coordinate and oversee the entire accounting cycle of subsidiaries, including the investment subsidiary Pomerleau Capital, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Work with the team to monitor compliance responsibilities of the US subsidiary, Borea USA, ensuring obligations are met.
• Coordinate and follow up on tax and DAS audits.
• Provide technical support to project teams and service departments to help them understand and apply sales tax rules.
• Oversee and collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including participating in tax compliance, for all subsidiaries.
• Participate in the implementation and execution of process improvement projects in collaboration with various company departments, ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of new initiatives.
• Participate in the analysis of changes in accounting standards and new regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance of accounting and internal control practices.
• Carry out various financial analyses at the request of management.

This role could be for you if you have :
• Accounting designation (CPA).
• 5 to 10 years' experience in accounting.
• Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
