What you will do:

Provide leadership and direction for water and wastewater infrastructure projects;
Oversee preconstruction, project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure timely completion of objectives and contractual requirements;
Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulators;
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices;
Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies;
Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management;
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment;
Champion innovation by applying creative problem-solving techniques that boost project efficiency and excellence;
Lead by example and mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth;
Drive execution by supporting project teams in building and maintaining schedules that meet key milestones;
Promote proactive thinking by guiding your team to turn technical challenges into strategic wins;
Steer financial performance by helping project managers manage budgets, costs, and procurement with precision;
Leverage your expertise in selecting and coordinating trade partners to ensure seamless collaboration;
Oversee the portfolio with a sharp focus on timelines, budgets, and strategic alignment;
Build lasting partnerships with clients, consultants, and trade partners to achieve shared goals;
Negotiate with impact to deliver win-win outcomes while keeping project priorities front and center;
Champion safety by actively supporting our HSE program and ensuring compliance with all OH&S standards;
Ensure quality excellence through a meticulous, proactive approach aligned with our top-tier standards; and
Celebrate success by leading project closeouts and recognizing team achievements.

This role could be for you if you have:

Extensive industry experience with 15+ years in the construction sector, demonstrating deep operational and strategic insight.
Specialized expertise in civil construction, with a strong focus on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Technical proficiency in water/wastewater treatment processes, hydraulics, and engineering principles, paired with industry-specific construction methodologies.
Educational foundation in Engineering (University Degree or Technology Diploma), or equivalent industry experience.
Proven leadership with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects and leading high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and resolve technical and client-facing challenges effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, financial management, building codes, and regulatory frameworks.
Team-building mindset with a passion for mentoring and driving organizational growth.
Technologically adept, with strong computer skills and hands-on experience using project management and scheduling software.
Regional insight into the British Columbia and/or Western Canadian construction market.
