As an experienced Senior Estimator in the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth and challenge industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will work closely with our proposals team and various client groups to secure bids and ensure project success. 

What You Will Do:
• Perform quantitative evaluations of materials and labor for key project components, and verify the quantities provided by estimators.
• Prepare quantity summaries based on project plans and specifications, organized by standardized trade sections and functions.
• Identify project-specific pricing for labor, equipment, materials, and indirect costs such as contingencies, inflation, administration, profit, and professional fees.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients to support the project's goals and vision.
• Thoroughly review all quotes and amounts received from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with bid documents during compilation and closing.
• Participate in or coordinate the estimation process for design-build projects, involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Support efforts to identify and engage new subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Propose and quantify cost-saving alternatives to bid documents when applicable, to optimize construction budgets.
• Act as a role model and mentor to junior team members, offering coaching and guidance on best practices and industry insights.

This Role Could Be for You If You Have:
• A university degree or college diploma in construction project estimation, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in estimating within the ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of excavation and formwork.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring team members.
• Proficiency with estimation software tools.
