As an experienced General Superintendent working in the Civil & Infrastructure Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth, challenging industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will work closely with the project management team, various client groups and subtrades to ensure project excellence through your outstanding leadership, keen eye for detail and commitment to quality, and health and safety.
What you will do:
• Ensure leadership and implement the HSE culture by promoting best practices on each project.
• Support and advise superintendents in all stages of construction throughout the projects.
• Participate in organizing site supply and help establish equipment lists with logistics teams and the superintendent.
• Participate in selecting and establishing appropriate work methods based on the tasks to be performed.
• Coordinate the movement of equipment between different sites.
• Collaborate with project directors and managers for cost tracking.
• Contribute to various pre-construction stages (methods, strategies, inventories, etc.) by providing your expertise.
• Establish labor needs at the beginning and throughout the work.
• Coordinate labor movement between different sites.
• Identify future labor needs and propose innovative solutions to meet them (recruitment pipeline).
• Maintain regular contact with key resources to ensure their engagement.
• Support the training of new superintendents, foremen, and site personnel, and act as a mentor.
• Identify current and future training needs and act as a content expert with the Project Leader – Site Development.
• Act as an ambassador of Pomerleau's values.
• Support superintendents in their relationships with clients, subcontractors, specialists, and other trades, and help resolve disputes.

This role could be for you if you have:
• A DEP in a construction-related field or equivalent training.
• Over 15 years of experience on construction projects (civil and infrastructure), including at least 8 years as a superintendent on large-scale projects.
• Strong skills in project planning and coordination.
• Proficiency in reading plans and specifications.
• Recognized leadership and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Mobility to support civil and infrastructure team sites across the province of Quebec.
