The Project Accountant gathers, coordinates, and verifies accounting data to ensure proper bookkeeping for the project.
They may be required to assist the accounts payable clerk with payments.
What you will do

• Ensures the maintenance of general and subsidiary accounting

• Performs daily reconciliation of subsidiary accounts (suppliers, customers, and employees)
• Records cash transactions (bank)
• Identifies accounting entries and invoices with anomalies and forwards them to the Finance Director
• Performs bank reconciliations
• Enters fixed asset and IFRS 16 entries
• Records journal entries
• Participates in closing entries:
• Prepares a list of accrued expenses based on issued purchase orders or unbilled progress
• Highlights prepaid expenses
• Reviews and enters work-in-progress
• Enters inventory
• Assists the Finance Director in preparing tax declarations
• Supports the Finance Director during internal and external financial audits
• Assists the Finance Director with the preparation of various reports
• Analyzes balance sheet accounts
• Archives documents

This role could be for you if you have

• Hold a Bachelor's degree (BAC) or a College diploma (DEC) in accounting
• Have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of the SAP system is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
