The Cost Controler is responsible for making a significant contribution to the financial oversight of major projects. While reporting hierarchically to the Senior Cost Control Manager – Major Projects, their mission is to carry out analyses and monitor any corrective actions related to expense tracking. This role plays a key part in preparing various budgets and adjustments required by the Project Management team. They collect, analyze, and summarize information on opportunities and risks to support decision-making by the Project Management team.
What you will do :

Project Management Control :
• Acts as a guarantor of the dissemination, explanation, and monitoring of compliance with the Consortium Management Methods. Suggests improvements to the Cost Control Manager when deemed relevant.
• Maintains constant communication with the Works, Procurement, and Accounting teams to ensure proper allocation of expenses and thereby guarantee consistent project management.
• Prepares budget summaries within their scope. Ensures the consistency of data and budget assumptions.
• Ensures the reliability of operating results by analyzing in particular:
- Remaining expenditures, quantities used, key ratios and their trends
- Billing discrepancies
- Operational disputes
- Equipment
- Unsettled orders
- Staff and hourly personnel time tracking
- Accrued expenses
• Ensures proper management of the entity by specifically analyzing :
- The monthly financial report
- The entity’s overhead costs (staff monitoring, operating expenses)
- Consideration of potential social and environmental risks
- Compliance with framework agreements negotiated by the Purchasing Department
Various variance accounts (equipment, personnel, etc.)
• Through the above-mentioned controls, plays a vigilance role for the Cost Control Manager, the Project Control Director, the Support Director, and the Project Management team in general.

Advising and Assisting the Project Management Team :
• Responds to requests from the Project Management team for analysis and summaries in the field of management control.
• Proactively conducts various studies or analyses.
• Participates in the skills development of all teams and leads training sessions on key management topics and the use of information systems.
• Collaborates with project managers to establish budgets and enter them into the system.

Internal Control Contributor :
• Participates in closing meetings of internal audit missions conducted within their scope and ensures effective implementation of recommendations.
• Carries out specific control missions at the request of the Cost Control Manager and/or Project Control Director.
Interactions :
• Frequent contact with the Financial Departments of Partners
• Project Management, Project Control Department, Administration and Finance team, Works Directors, Project Managers, Procurement team
• Internal auditors, Quality auditors

This role could be for you if you have :

• 5 years of experience
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Management or Engineering-related field
• Experience in Construction: an asset
• Autonomous
• Ability to anticipate and prioritize tasks
• Strong listening skills and analytical mindset
• Good interpersonal skills
• Advanced level of English
• Interest in Information Systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of SAP, FI/CO module
