Reporting to the Director – Project Risk Management, you will be responsible for the full governance of the risk management process on complex and strategic projects. From proposal development through to project execution, you will act as the conductor of risk management activities, leading workshops, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring the quality of mitigation plans, reports, and submission narratives. In collaboration with the team of analysts, you will also facilitate quantitative analyses (QCRA/QSRA) and play a key role in supporting decision-making for senior management and project teams.
What you will do

• Govern and oversee the risk management process for assigned projects.
• Plan, facilitate, and lead multidisciplinary workshops for risk identification and evaluation.
• Develop, document, and monitor risk and opportunity response plans.
• Work closely with risk analysts to plan and guide quantitative analyses (QCRA/QSRA), and interpret results for stakeholders.
• Produce and present summary reports (risk profiles, dashboards, narratives) to support approval committees, execution reviews, and governance milestones (Gating).
• Maintain up-to-date risk registers in compliance with internal standards and required metadata.
• Contribute to the risk management sections of technical proposals, demonstrating a structured and integrated approach.
• Leverage and contribute to existing databases (lessons learned, risk libraries, historical data) to strengthen the quality and efficiency of analyses.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of tools, templates, and risk management methods within the APEX department.
• Mentor, support, and guide risk analysts and coordinators, acting as a technical and functional reference point.

This role could be for you if you have

• University degree in engineering, project management, risk management, or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in risk management of complex projects (preferably in construction or infrastructure).
• Proven experience facilitating workshops, managing mitigation plans, and coordinating risk registers.
• Practical knowledge of quantitative analyses (QCRA/QSRA) with the ability to interpret results.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with specialized risk management software (ARM, Safran Risk, Primavera Risk, @RISK, etc.).
• Knowledge of project estimating or scheduling (an asset).
• Experience with alternative delivery models (PPP, IPD, design-build, etc.).
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and risk management standards (ISO 31000, PMI, AACE)
