The Logistics Coordinator is a key member of the Logistics Department, responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, reconciliation, and quality control of shipments at our construction site. This position plays a critical role in maintaining project timelines and budget by ensuring materials arrive complete, undamaged, and in compliance with contractual obligations. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with our trader partners, project management team, and quality control personnel to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to incoming shipments.
What you will do

• Receive, verify, and reconcile incoming shipments against packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping documents to ensure accuracy in quantity, specifications, and condition
• Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies such as shortages, overages, or incorrect items, and maintain detailed records of all findings
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with project specifications, documenting any damage or defects and coordinating with the Quality Control team for resolution
• Submit and track damage claims with carriers or trade partners, including photographic documentation and follow-up to ensure proper resolution
• Review contracts and purchase orders to confirm shipments meet agreed-upon terms, delivery schedules, and documentation requirements, reporting any compliance issues to the Logistics Manager
• Communicate proactively with trade partners, project managers, and internal departments to coordinate material flow and resolve shipment-related issues
• Maintain organized records of shipments, quality inspections, damage reports, and compliance activities, and prepare regular reports for management review
• Support continuous improvement by assisting in the development and implementation of logistics procedures that enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Perform additional logistics-related tasks as assigned by the Logistics Manager

This role could be for you if you have

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum [5] years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or quality control, preferably in a construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, purchase orders, and contracts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of construction materials and terminology is a plus.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to [50] pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a construction site environment, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
