As a Electrical & instrumentation - Team lead at Pomerleau Construction, you will report to the Industrial Construction Director. Working on large-scale projects – ranging from $50 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will play an important role in coordinating and supervising all the activities of the stakeholders and reporting on the progress of the activities.
What you will do

• Monitor compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Oversee the implementation of the health and safety program established by the general contractor.
• Lead construction activities on site with the support of site supervisors.
• Support the construction supervisor in coordinating contractor work during weekly and shift-start meetings.
• Foster effective collaboration with the owner's team.
• Promote sound management of labor relations and optimal site productivity.
• Verify that all necessary permits and authorizations are available prior to the execution of work.
• Make certain that project procedures and internal systems are respected and implemented by supervisors, contract administrators, and other employees.
• Assist the supply chain manager and the construction contracts manager or other relevant personnel.
• Coordinate engineering activities on site to meet project requirements.
• Track the quality assurance program for the work and confirm compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare and issue required daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

In collaboration with the Electrical Subcontract Administrator:
• Contribute to the preparation of project cost reports according to standardized criteria established at the outset regarding content and presentation (budgets, commitments, variances, performance, forecasts), following the approved coding structure.
• Update and record all budget changes once approval is obtained.
• Participate in updating and recording all project commitments (purchases and contracts).
• Maintain and record all changes to commitments.


This role could be for you if you have

• Engineer or technical training in electrical engineering (DEC) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Electrical Construction Management or a similar role in a heavy industrial environment.
• Experience in managing relationships with contractors.
• Knowledge of the context surrounding the construction of electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with major equipment installed in industrial construction projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
