As an experienced Superintendent in Pomerleau’s Special Projects division, you will play a critical role in delivering specialized projects ranging upwards to $10 million. Leveraging your trade-driven expertise and hands-on leadership, you will oversee site operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality. Working closely with the project management team, clients, consultants, and trade partners, you will drive collaboration and efficiency while maintaining a strong focus on quality and health and safety of project sites.

What you will do

• Ensure adequate resources are in place to meet safety, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Maintain the overall project schedule, including developing short-term look-ahead plans to align with milestones.
• Supervise and coordinate all on-site trade activities.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and team members to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
• Respond quickly to schedule or budget risks by implementing effective recovery strategies.
• Identify and escalate any deficiencies, scheduling challenges, and other project concerns.
• Mentor, coach, and train site personnel as needed to support team development.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, safety inspections, and schedule updates.
• Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance by leading on-site practices and ensuring adherence to standards, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with trade partners and stakeholders to proactively maintain schedule alignment and achieve milestones
• Support site start-up activities and represent the team in client coordination meetings.


This role could be for you if you have

• Journeyman Certificate or related construction discipline preferably.
• 3+ years of experience on site as a lead hand, foreman, or related role supervising construction.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration among trade partners and team members.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery and team coordination.
• Solid knowledge of construction techniques and ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated experience in managing safety regulations, project scheduling, quality, and cost control.
• Ability to identify challenges and implement creative, practical solutions.
• Proficient in working within a process-driven environment using computer and scheduling software.
