As a Business Partner, Communications and Marketing with Pomerleau, you will ensure stakeholder engagement, transparent communications, and media relations are compliant during all phases of the construction project. Supporting our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion- you will have the opportunity to be creative and make strategic decisions as it relates to our project communications strategies.

Working closely with the Atlantic Region management team, reporting to the Director of External Communications, and collaborating with the Communications & Marketing team based primarily at our Montréal head office, you will be responsible for strengthening Pomerleau’s brand presence in the Atlantic market and supporting business growth.

As the region’s sole communications representative, the Business Partner brings strong expertise in public and stakeholder relations, communications, and marketing.
What you will do

Strategic Communications

• Develop, implement, measure and report on communication plans aligned with business priorities.
• Advise and coach local leaders and teams on their internal and external communications and stakeholder relations.
• Support management team by anticipating reputational risks and managing local crisis communications in collaboration with the head office.

Building the Pomerleau brand in the Atlantic Region

• Identify opportunities to showcase Pomerleau’s expertise, people and innovations through thought leadership opportunities, conferences, sponsorships, public relations initiatives, and other approaches.
• Develop relationships with industry publications and media; prepare spokespeople, develop key messages, etc.

Working in sync with head office

• Collaborate with head office experts in Internal Communications, Marketing, Public Relations (media relations), Donations and Sponsorships, etc.
• Develop briefing notes for content production.
• Collaborate with other regional Business Partners to leverage cross-Canada opportunities.
• Source and manage external vendors, when needed.


This role could be for you if you have

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field with 5 to 7 years of experience;
• Curious, avid learner, develops strong relationships with colleagues through excellent project execution;
• Ability to provide strategic advice to management, able to navigate complex situations;
• Autonomous and proactive, able to be both strategic and tactics-oriented;
• Solid English writing skills;
• Works best in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
