“Future Opportunities”

As an experienced Superintendent working within the Civil & Infrastructure Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support the growth of both new and ongoing projects by challenging industry standards through your field‑driven expertise and hands‑on leadership. Working on large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects — ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion — you will collaborate closely with the project management team, clients, engineers, consultants, and trade partners to deliver operational excellence. Your leadership, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to quality, health, and safety will be key to project success.
What you will do

• Act as the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) champion on all project sites, leading by example and ensuring full compliance with applicable safety standards, codes, and regulations
• Proactively manage site activities, materials, and workflows to meet the requirements of Pomerleau’s first‑class Quality Program, ensuring precision and excellence in execution
• Mentor, coach, and support on‑site teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance
• Coordinate with trade partners, engineers, and consultants to develop and execute construction schedules, ensuring all milestones and target completion dates are achieved
• Identify challenges and recommend innovative, efficient methods to enhance productivity and overall project performance
• Work closely with Project Managers during project start‑up, actively supporting client coordination meetings and acting as a trusted on‑site leader and role model
• Ensure site readiness by receiving materials, coordinating logistics, and maintaining compliance with civil, infrastructure, and environmental standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project records, documentation, and inventory — your attention to detail supports operational and logistics success
• Play a key role in the project close‑out process, contributing to lessons learned and celebrating project achievements with the team

This role could be for you if you have

• 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in civil and infrastructure projects
• A construction‑related certificate, diploma, or degree, or a strong combination of education and hands‑on industry experience
• A proven track record of delivering successful projects while promoting teamwork and collaboration
• Demonstrated experience managing site safety, construction sequencing, scheduling, quality assurance, and cost control
• A solution‑oriented mindset — you see challenges as opportunities and thrive in implementing practical, creative approaches
• Strong computer skills, including experience with construction scheduling and field management software
Benefits
