The Building Maintenance Attendant ensures the proper functioning and safety of the facilities by performing general maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and coordinating certain external services (e.g., snow removal, specialized maintenance, etc.). They are responsible for keeping the infrastructure in good condition and responding promptly to operational needs.
This is a part-time position with a work schedule of 20 hours per week, spread over 5 days (negotiable).
What you will do


• Perform minor repairs on systems and equipment and carry out preventive maintenance on facilities (basic plumbing, simple electrical work, carpentry);
• Select suppliers for external services through requests for proposals;
• Coordinate, supervise, and ensure the quality of services provided by external vendors (cleaning companies, security, landscaping, snow removal, specialized maintenance, major repairs, etc.);
• Lead renovation, layout, or construction projects in collaboration with suppliers;
• Manage internal maintenance requests and ensure effective follow-up and communication;
• Monitor the overall condition of the building and report any anomalies or need for intervention;
• Validate budgets with the manager and process purchase orders related to supplier services;
• Comply with health and safety, hygiene, and accessibility standards at all times.



This role could be for you if you have

• Hold a qualification in carpentry or have significant experience in the field
• Have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role (maintenance, building upkeep, construction, etc.)
• Possess knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry, with the ability to safely use manual and power tools
• Demonstrate rigor, resourcefulness, responsiveness, and the ability to manage unexpected situations
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively

• Basic knowledge and skills in using computer tools (Office Suite)
