Job Description

Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you.
As a Business Strategy Analyst within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure team, you will play a strategic role by being responsible for improving organizational performance, supporting decision-making, driving growth, and assisting the business unit’s leadership in various aspects of management. You will act as a link between the different business sectors, operations leadership, functional teams, and head office. You will oversee the preparation of key documents, removal of obstacles, support of priorities, and ensure smooth communication flows to achieve the long-term objectives of the business unit and, by extension, those of the organization. Working on large-scale construction projects—ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion—you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives and organizational growth.
What You Will Do

• Support and monitor the preparation and implementation of strategic business plans, including operational roadmaps and tracking mechanisms.
• Act as an intermediary between verticals, functions, and corporate teams, as needed.
• Advise business unit leaders on observed departmental needs and issues related to performance management.
• Collaborate, in close partnership with the Vice President, Senior Directors, and Directors, on the governance and execution of key initiatives.
• Represent the business unit by participating in cross-functional teams for the implementation of new programs, meetings, initiatives, and business projects.

This Role Is for You If You Have

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• A strategic mindset with proven experience in business analysis, planning, and partnership development.
• A dynamic personality, comfortable in fast-paced environments and able to manage multiple, sometimes competing, projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data and business needs into clear, actionable plans.
• Collaborative leadership, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and influence decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and propose effective solutions.
• Comfort with technology, proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint), and a willingness to learn new systems.

Additional Assets

• Certification in business analysis or project management (e.g., PMP).

• A master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Benefits
• RRSP with up to 5% employer matching

• Hybrid work model for corporate roles
• Employee stock ownership program
• Career growth through real development opportunities
• Transit pass reimbursement — get to work for free
• Minimum 4 weeks of vacation from day one
