As a Cost Control Team Lead working in the Industrial team at Pomerleau Construction, you will be in responsible for conducting analyses and tracking any corrective actions related to expenses, as well as collaborating on the implementation of processes, systems, and tools tailored to the industrial context. Working on large-scale projects – ranging from $50 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our new industrial departement.
What you will do

• Supervise the cost control technicians that may be under his/her responsibility.
• Oversee the development of the project budgets, leads budget revisions, and ensures the consistency of data and budget assumptions.
• Monitor project contingencies and cash flows.
• Supervise the financial part of change tracking.
• Maintain constant communication with the Construction, Procurement, and Accounting team to ensure the correct allocation of expenses and thus guarantee the production of consistent cost management.
• Ensure the reliability of results by analyzing pre-commitments, commitments, accruals, invoicing, internal expenses and KPI’s.
• Supervise and/or processes subcontractor progressive payments.
• Participate in the skills management of his team and leads training sessions on management processes and the use of information systems.
• Define, in tandem with the PCO, and produces the monthly financial report, including projections, and presents it if required to the project executive team.
• Monitor and follow up on processes, systems, and cost tracking tools and proposes evolutions when deemed relevant.

This role could be for you if you have

• You have an Undergraduate degree in management or engineering or other related field.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to anticipate and prioritize tasks.

• Good listening and synthesis skills.
