As a Rental Buyer within Pomerleau’s procurement logistics team, you will be responsible for carrying out all steps involved in renting equipment from our suppliers for large-scale building and infrastructure construction projects — ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. What you will do

• Gather equipment rental requests from jobsite teams and regional logistics coordinators
• Carry out the administrative process related to equipment rentals (quotations, purchase orders, updating internal task‑tracking systems, etc.)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units and suppliers to clearly define needs and secure equipment and services that meet technical requirements within the required timelines
• Support teams with temporary heating needs and requests, in collaboration with the innovation and environmental teams
• Demonstrate proactivity by staying informed about market trends across all business provinces, mainly Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic region
• Ensure smooth operation of the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process and provide the necessary information to administrative support teams for the creation of assets in the system
• Maintain a database of various rates across different markets
• Work closely with the strategic procurement team regarding price lists and active agreements
• Participate in updating internal equipment rates for the Pomerleau fleet
• Support technology development teams within this targeted domain


This role could be for you if you have

• Education in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement
• Experience in an industry related to construction
• Knowledge of construction-related support equipment and tools (boom lifts, scissor lifts, lighting, generators, temporary heating, handling equipment, etc.)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and data analysis within an ERP system
• Autonomy and rigor
• Ability to work with tight priorities and deadlines; strong adaptability and initiative

• Ability to act as a change ambassador and a positive influencer
