Supported by the Regional IT Coordinator and the site Network Administrator, the Site IT Technician is responsible for the installation, support, and proper functioning of the computer and telecom equipment used on our construction sites and project offices.
They spend the majority of their time traveling to the sites, and the rest of the time in the office planning their upcoming trips or providing remote assistance.

This role requires someone experienced, autonomous, capable of manual work, not afraid to get their hands dirty, and who has a strong networking background. The Site IT Technician also acts as the first responder for on-site users and plays an essential role in ensuring continuity of field operations.
What you will do

• Provide in-person technical support for workstations, printers, mobile devices, and network equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and telecom issues.
• Deploy internet connections, install network equipment (switches, access points, routers), and set up Wi-Fi networks tailored to project needs.
• Run, route, and organize network cables between trailers, containers, and construction site buildings, including the associated manual labor.
• Test and validate network installations: connectivity, stability, speed, Wi-Fi coverage, etc.
• Manage requests through the IT email inbox and ServiceNow.
• Document installations, keep inventory up to date, and contribute to IT equipment purchases for projects.
• Work collaboratively with other IT technicians.
• Apply the company's IT standards and cybersecurity best practices.


This role could be for you if you have

• A college diploma (DEC) in IT or equivalent training.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally on construction sites or in multisite environments.
• An ASP Construction card.
• Experience configuring network equipment.
• Proficiency with Ubiquiti/Unifi products (an asset).
• Experience in network cabling, creating RJ45 connectors, and cable testing.
• Comfort working in a hybrid IT environment (AD + Cloud).
• Advanced experience in workstation support (Windows 10 and 11).
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience supporting iOS mobile devices.
• Strong communication, simplification, and client-relations skills.
• Strong autonomy, resourcefulness, rigor, and practical mindset.

• No fear of manual work: moving equipment, installing hardware, drilling, mounting, plugging, pulling cable, etc.
