As a Project Manager within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure division, you will provide technical and operational leadership to the project team while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, schedules, costs, and quality standards. By leading large-scale construction and infrastructure projects — which can exceed 200 million dollars — you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure flawless project execution. You will also benefit from professional guidance and specialized services offered by our support departments, such as Environment, Quality, and Assurance, allowing you to focus on what matters most: project management.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, business partners, consultants, and clients to achieve the project’s objectives and vision.
• Lead and mentor the project team (engineers, superintendents, technicians, coordinators) by providing ongoing technical support, knowledge sharing, and guidance.
• Support the planning and management of the construction schedule, ensuring compliance with completion dates, milestones, and performance targets.
• Plan, manage, and control budgets, forecasts, costs, procurement, and financial variances, while implementing mitigation strategies.
• Oversee invoicing, payment approvals, and strategic financial tracking.
• Ensure effective risk management to minimize potential impacts on the project.
• Compile, analyze, and finalize company‑wide project reports with rigor and accuracy.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environment (HSE) by applying project‑specific standards, promoting Pomerleau’s HSE expectations, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and codes.
• Ensure regulatory and technical compliance of civil works, structures, and specialized construction activities.

This Role Is for You If You Have

• A university degree in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 8 years of experience managing major infrastructure or civil works projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction engineering methods, risk analysis, strategic planning, and contract management.
• Understanding of technical coordination processes, shop drawings, technical specifications, RFIs, etc.

• A strong sense of professional responsibility, sound technical judgment, and the ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams.
