Job Description

Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you.
As a Project Director within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure division, you will play a key role at the heart of the Water Treatment business unit. You will contribute to the growth of the organization by building high‑performing teams, fostering innovation, and cultivating trust at all levels of the company. Your role will be essential to supporting our ambitious initiatives in meeting and exceeding project objectives, execution excellence, and workforce management.
With your strong expertise in project management and delivery, you will bring strategic vision and recognized professionalism to every client interaction. By managing large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will excel in overseeing complex, multi‑phase projects while maintaining exemplary operational discipline.
Your collaborative and solutions‑oriented mindset will inspire teams and ensure precise execution of every project. By working closely with cross‑functional teams, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, you will ensure the seamless delivery of all projects. As a trusted leader and advisor, you will place objectives, people, and communication at the core of your priorities—redefining construction from concept to completion.
What you will do

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for infrastructure projects.
• Participate in business development and pre-construction activities to secure new projects.
• Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with team members, partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project and company goals and vision.
• Support project management teams in planning, execution, contract management, and project delivery, ensuring alignment with objectives and contractual requirements.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, lead by example, and mentor team members within a culture of continuous learning; act as both a mentor and role model by offering guidance and support to help team members grow in their careers.
• Leverage your experience in selecting professional partners and coordinating their activities.
• Lead procurement activities, including subcontracting and major product and service contracts.
• Apply your financial management expertise to plan, manage, and meet project budgets, costs, and associated purchases.
• Act as a professional in risk and opportunity management.
• Monitor project progress and performance and provide updates to leadership and clients.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental protection throughout project execution with all employees and partners.

• Proven leadership with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects and leading high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and resolve technical and client-facing challenges effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls and regulatory frameworks.
• Team-building mindset with a passion for mentoring and driving organizational growth.
