Join our Treasury team. The team is responsible for cash management, credit facilities, letters of credit, and managing foreign exchange and interest rate risks, among other responsibilities. Project cash flow analysis will also be central to day-to-day activities.

The incumbent will play a key role in Pomerleau’s growth by supporting the Vice President – Treasury in the execution of their mandate.

To succeed in this role, the incumbent must demonstrate strong analytical and synthesis skills, exceptional communication abilities, solid knowledge of corporate finance, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:


• Act as a positive and motivating leader within the team;
• Oversee and actively participate in the development of a cash flow forecasting model;
• Monitor existing projects and oversee cash flow management to anticipate the company’s liquidity needs;
• Actively contribute to the review process of cash flow curves for new bidding projects and assess their consolidated impact;
• Participate in quarter-end activities related to performance reporting and financial information for the Audit and Risk Committee: deliver clear, impactful reporting to support decision-making;
• Oversee the management of bank accounts (opening, closing, compliance, etc.) and administer various electronic platforms;
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of required letters of credit for various projects;
• Ensure tracking of financial fees including interest, commitment fees, letters of credit, agency fees, and others;
• Oversee the analysis of the impact of various scenarios on financial ratios;
• Contribute to the implementation of financial instruments related to hedging strategies for interest rate and foreign exchange risks;
• Oversee bank transfers related to interest payments, foreign currency purchases, cash surplus management, and intercompany transfers;
• Recommend improvements and implement corrective actions to optimize controls and reduce risks;
• Provide timely support to internal stakeholders and assume supervisory responsibilities for processes assigned by the Vice President – Treasury;
• Act as an internal reference for stakeholders regarding the application of financial policies across business units;
• Collaborate with various departments (legal, accounting, operations, logistics) both internally and externally;
• Supervise, coach, and engage employees reporting to them;
• Perform any other related duties.




Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) or a related field;
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and/or treasury;
• Relevant experience in financial modeling;
• Bilingual (English/French);
• Strong analytical depth and synthesis abilities;
• Demonstrated judgment, initiative, leadership, autonomy, and versatility;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
• Strong team player;
• Knowledge of the construction or engineering industry is an asset;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CMIC (asset) and SAP (asset).
