The Director of industrial technical resources reports to the Vice President, Industrial. They coordinate and supervise Service Managers and Supervisors in mechanical, electrical, piping, and control disciplines assigned across various projects.
What you will do

Operational and Coordination Responsibilities
• Act as the manager of their team
• Coordinate with Project Directors and the Operations Director regarding staffing needs for site supervision in mechanical, electrical, piping, and control disciplines
• Provide professional follow-up and performance management for each Team Lead and Site Supervisor
• Monitor and support career development plans for Service Managers and Supervisors in collaboration with the VP, Industrial
• Assign Service Managers and Site Supervisors based on project needs and individual competencies
• Ensure that Service Managers and Supervisors comply with and enforce the company’s health and safety (H&S) regulations
• Ensure compliance with the quality plan of each assigned project
• Ensure compliance with the environmental plan of each assigned project
• Provide technical support to Service Managers and Supervisors
• Participate in pre-project (planning/engineering) phases as required

This role could be for you if you have

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in Construction Management or a similar role within a heavy industrial environment
• Engineering degree or technical diploma (DEC) in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
• Experience in managing relationships with contractors
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry environment
• Knowledge of major equipment used in industrial construction projects
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

• Ability to travel occasionally to project sites as required
