As a Crane Operator with Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure team, you will work closely with all crew members to ensure the coordination and execution of construction activities. Working on large-scale construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the productivity and efficiency of operations on our job sites.

What you will do

•Operate crawler cranes ranging from 80 to 300 tons in accordance with applicable safety standards.
•Perform complex lifting operations related to deep foundation work, including piles, caissons, and drilling activities.
•Participate in vibro-driving operations, including the handling and positioning of vibratory hammers and associated equipment.
•Perform lifting operations for equipment components during assembly and disassembly activities.
•Read and interpret lift plans, site instructions, and signals from Signal Persons.
•Conduct daily crane inspections and report any mechanical or operational issues.
•Ensure crane stability based on crane configuration, load requirements, and weather conditions.
•Collaborate closely with Drill Rig Operators, Forepersons, Signal Persons, and other skilled tradespeople.
•Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to all health and safety procedures.



This role could be for you if you have

•Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Crane Operator.
•Valid CCQ Crane Operator certification.
•Valid ASP Construction card.
•Demonstrated experience operating cranes ranging from 80 to 300 tons.
•Essential experience in deep foundation work (driven piles, drilled shafts, caissons, etc.).
•Experience with vibro-driving operations (vertical vibratory hammer operation, extraction, and installation).
•Strong teamwork skills.
