As a junior technician working in the Methods & Temporary Works (M&TW) team at Pomerleau, you will play a critical role in producing and detailing methods and temporary works designs essential to the construction of various projects.  Under the supervision and mentoring of experienced technicians and engineers, you will will play a critical role in detailing technical drawings and 3D models. The ideal candidate has some experience with construction projects, a strong eye for detail, and is proficient in latest 2D and 3D CAD/BIM software.
What you will do :

Develop detailed methods and temporary works technical drawings and models (2D & 3D) using CAD software (such as AutoCAD and Revit).
Collaborate with engineers, technicians and construction teams to ensure that drawings and models meet specifications, requirements and standards.
Prepare plans for site logistic and installation, work sequences, team/equipment sequencing and other operations.
Modify drawings based on feedback from engineers, construction teams or field changes, ensuring that all drawings and models remain up-to-date.
Maintain organized records of drawings, models, and design documents to ensure accessibility and compliance with department and project requirements.
Ensure compliance with the Design Quality Management Plan and report non-compliance issues.

this role could be for you :

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in CAD, BIM, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
0-5 years as an intern or technician in the construction industry, with specific experience in methods and temporary works preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software.
Accuracy and precision in creating design drawings and models, with awareness of the unique challenges of construction projects.
Ability to clearly communicate technical information with team members and adapt design drawings and models to feedback.
Good analytical skills, rigor, technical knowledge and an interest in new technologies
Ability to communicate technical issues in a way that is clearly understood, using high-quality oral and written language
