As a mechanical excavator operator within Pomerleau's civil engineering & infrastructure team, you will work closely with all workers to ensure the safe coordination and execution of work. Working on large-scale construction projects—ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion—you will have the opportunity to contribute to the productivity and efficiency of our construction sites.
What you will do

•Perform excavation and preparation work for building foundations, trenching, backfilling, grading and land development, clearing forest land for roads, laying sewer and water pipes, working in riparian areas, handling (loading and unloading), etc.
•Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards.
•Work as part of a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting work environment, collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on the job site.
•Care for and maintain equipment.
•Perform all other related tasks related to operations.


This role could be for you if you have

•Valid CCQ excavator operator card
•Valid ASP Construction card & WHMIS 2015
•DEP excavator operator diploma or equivalent experience
•Valid driver's license – Class 5
•Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
•Knowledge and/or experience with Trimble GPS systems
