Job Description

Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you.
Lead with purpose as a Project Director at Pomerleau. Drive organizational growth by building high-performing teams, championing innovation, and fostering trust across the company. With extensive expertise in project management and delivery, you bring strategic insight and professionalism to every client interaction.

You thrive in managing complex, multi-phase projects while maintaining operational excellence. Your collaborative, solution-oriented mindset motivates teams and ensures every project is executed with precision. As a trusted leader and advisor, you prioritize goals, people, and communication—redefining construction from concept to completion.
What you will do

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for infrastructure projects.
• Participate in business development and pre-construction activities to secure new projects.
• Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with team members, partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project and company goals and vision.
• Support project management teams in planning, execution, contract management, and project delivery, ensuring alignment with objectives and contractual requirements.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, lead by example, and mentor team members within a culture of continuous learning; act as both a mentor and role model by offering guidance and support to help team members grow in their careers.
• Leverage your experience in selecting professional partners and coordinating their activities.
• Lead procurement activities, including subcontracting and major product and service contracts.
• Apply your financial management expertise to plan, manage, and meet project budgets, costs, and associated purchases.
• Act as a professional in risk and opportunity management.
• Monitor project progress and performance and provide updates to leadership and clients.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental protection throughout project execution with all employees and partners.

This role could be for you if you have

• Educational foundation in Engineering (University Degree or Technology Diploma), or equivalent industry experience.
• 15+ years in the construction sector, demonstrating deep operational and strategic insight.
• Specialized expertise in infrastructure construction, ideally with a focus on water and wastewater or industrial projects.
• Proven leadership with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects and leading high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and resolve technical and client-facing challenges effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls and regulatory frameworks.
• Team-building mindset with a passion for mentoring and driving organizational growth.

• Good knowledge of the construction market.
Benefits
• RRSP with up to 5% employer matching

• Hybrid work model for corporate roles

• Transit pass reimbursement — get to work for free
• Minimum 4 weeks of vacation from day one
