As a Superintendent within Pomerleau’s Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site activities to ensure smooth project execution. Working on large-scale construction projects – ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion – you will have the opportunity to play a key role in project delivery by optimizing resources and maintaining effective communication among all stakeholders.
What you will do

• Plan and organize work: Determine labor, material, and equipment needs, and establish work methods to meet schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate teams: Lead site crews and ensure collaboration among different trades and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance, quality and health & safety: Ensure rigorous application of plans, safety standards, quality standards and best practices in health and safety.
• Manage logistics: Order required materials and equipment and coordinate with the logistics department for site needs and demobilization.
• Participate in planning: Work with the Project Manager to prepare schedules and attend coordination meetings with the client.
• Resolve issues: Identify on-site challenges and recommend solutions to improve productivity.
• Train and mentor: Oversee worker training on procedures, safety, and emergency measures.
• Follow up and reporting: Conduct inventories, prepare requisitions, and communicate relevant information to departments.


This role could be for you if you have

• 10 to 15 years of experience in civil works & infrastructure;
• A valid CCQ journeyman card;
• Strong teamwork and planning skills;
• Excellent ability to read and interpret plans and specifications;
• Recognized leadership and excellent sound team and work planning skills
