As a Bid Manager – Collaborative Contracts working in the Alternative Projects Center of Expertise (APEX) team at Pomerleau Construction, you will be responsible for leading estimating and proposal teams in developing highly competitive bids with client needs front of mind. Supporting our work on large‑scale collaborative construction projects — ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion — you will collaborate closely with management, external consultants, and joint‑venture partners to develop a winning proposal strategy.

What you will do

· Collaborate with the Regional Leadership team to develop strategies for winning complex Progressive Design‑Build, Alliance, IPD, and other alternative contracting model projects.
· Lead design, technical writing, estimating, construction, scheduling, risk, and commercial teams throughout the bid process.
· Develop, monitor and maintain the proposal budget with support from management and engineering partners.
· Prepare, monitor and maintain the proposal schedule with assistance from the scheduling team.
· Coordinate with proposal teams to finalize construction costs (CAPEX) and project cash flows with estimating and scheduling teams.
· Adopt a holistic approach to O&M and construction to create cost‑effective solutions and designs.
· Support the production and review of technical documents, influencing permanent‑works design for cost efficiency and constructability.
· Manage contract agreements with partners, coordinate technical and commercial RFIs, develop proposal themes, and build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders.
· Prepare teams for collaborative interviews as required for proposal submissions.
· Review and select design team partners and collaborative coaches as needed.
· Introduce and train teams on collaborative project management tools, and ensure consistent use throughout the proposal process.
· Support Operations and Design teams through the Design Development Phase, engaging technical experts as needed to produce complete and compliant proposal submissions.


This role could be for you if you have

· 10+ years of relevant construction experience in a similar role.
· A proven track record working on IPD, Alliance, Progressive Design‑Build and other alternative contract delivery models.
· A University degree or diploma in architecture or engineering.
· Fluency in English, written and oral (Fluency in French, written and oral is an asset)
