Under the supervision of the Billing Coordinator, the position holder is primarily responsible for ensuring that all amounts owed to Pomerleau are collected for each construction project.
What you will do

• Review project contracts to identify:
– payment terms;
– the client’s and suppliers’ addresses;
– the documents required for payments;
• Ensure that the billing budgets comply with the client’s contract;
• Perform monthly billing for each project, as well as any smaller invoicing, and update invoice batches;
• Record invoices and enter payments into the computer system; • Report pending and unbilled change notices to the project managers;
• Ensure that client payments are received within the prescribed timelines according to the issued invoices;
• Complete billing follow-ups to ensure deadlines are met;
• Provide clients with waivers/releases within the required timeframe along with the necessary follow-up;
• Ensure that all documents required for project closeout, in anticipation of holdbacks and final payment, are received according to contract terms;
• Obtain provisional and final acceptance dates;
• Perform project follow-ups when they reach 80% completion;
• Properly complete the client file in CMiC;
• Obtain provisional and final acceptance dates;
• Obtain approved payment certificates, when possible;
• Ensure compliance with special conditions related to change notices;
• Reconcile amounts received with the bank account;
• Reconcile the sales journal and the cash receipts journal;
• Process intercompany rebilling and ensure that expenses are allocated to the appropriate companies.




This role could be for you if you have

• an AEC or DEC in Accounting;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting;
• experience in customer service;
• advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
• strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• efficiency and strong organizational skills in managing priorities;
• a commitment to delivering quality customer service;
• good adaptability;

• a strong concern for meeting deadlines.
