As an Environmental Coordinator within Pomerleau’s environmental team, you will play a key advisory role based on the needs of the projects and their teams. You will develop and implement plans and procedures, propose solutions, and support teams in improving their environmental performance. You will ensure that practices comply with requirements and that relevant processes from the Environmental Management System are properly implemented. Your expertise will allow you to expand your knowledge across a wide range of environmental issues and mitigation measures while supporting superintendents and managers through skilled and effective communication. You will foster collaboration and solution‑finding, and act as a mentor for technicians and interns. This position requires a minimum to moderate level of supervision.
What you will do

• Conduct site visits and support the team in executing work in compliance with environmental requirements and LEED certification standards.
• Provide environmental advisory support to project teams regarding obligations and environmental issues (water discharge quality, dust, contaminated soils, hazardous waste management, permits & authorizations, noise, nuisances, etc.).
• Implement and carry out LEED‑related activities on construction sites.
• Develop and apply environmental plans and programs to support site teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date environmental performance indicators (non‑conformities, spills, residual materials, best practices, etc.).
• Collaborate with the corporate LEED coordinator to obtain targeted certifications.
• Compile data and prepare required monitoring reports.
• Report any deviation from environmental requirements and issue non‑conformity reports when necessary.
• Identify proactive solutions to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
• Participate in the implementation of Pomerleau’s Environmental Management System (EMS) on construction sites.


This role could be for you if you have

•A university degree in environment, sustainable development, engineering, geology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental work, ideally on construction sites or in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of environmental issues and impacts in the construction sector.

• General knowledge of provincial and municipal environmental regulations.
