Job Description

Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you.
As an Occupational Injury Management Advisor within Pomerleau’s Health and Safety team, you will play a key role in the management and optimization of occupational injury files across large-scale construction projects.
You will support internal teams and external partners throughout the entire process—from file opening to return to work—while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best OHS practices. Through close collaboration with site teams, Human Resources, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies, you will actively contribute to a proactive, rigorous, and people-centered approach to worker health and safety.
What you will do

• Receive, review, and process mail and emails related to occupational injury management, including supporting documentation and attachments.
• Ensure accurate filing of emails and documents in internal tracking systems and record relevant activities in Outlook calendars.
• Open occupational injury files and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of information required for decision-making.
• Draft objection comments, when required, and notify the appropriate parties when a file may be subject to contestation.
• Perform required verifications through the CNESST portal to confirm proper file intake and management.
• As needed, coordinate and carry out hearings, appeals, or withdrawals with the relevant authorities.
• Collaborate with external partners to gather and transmit required information for mandatory reporting, including files outside Québec.
• Assist in the preparation of temporary assignment forms and ensure their submission to the treating physician.
• Contribute to monitoring the medical progress of files, as applicable, and communicate relevant information to stakeholders.
• Prepare files and mandates for medical assessments and expert evaluations.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on various requests (BEM, cost-sharing, suspension of benefits, etc.).
• Communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders to conduct follow-ups or request information.
• Proactively and consistently share all relevant information with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Ensure follow-up on files that proceed to the legal stage, as applicable.
• Receive statements from workers’ compensation boards across Canada, ensure their submission for approval, and follow up on payments.
• Receive medical invoices (consultations, assessments) and invoices from external partners, ensure approval, and follow up on payments.

This role could be for you if you have

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• A college diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Administration, or a related field
• Strong professional communication skills when interacting with regulatory bodies (CNESST, regional organizations, etc.)
• Natural ease with the Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent organizational skills for filing, opening, and managing workplace accident files
Benefits
• RRSP with up to 5% employer matching

• Hybrid work model for corporate roles
• Employee stock ownership program
• Career growth through real development opportunities

• Minimum 4 weeks of vacation from day one
