As a team leader in construction machinery mechanics within Pomerleau's Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising the maintenance, repair, and inspection activities of the heavy machinery used on Pomerleau job sites. Working on large-scale construction projects – ranging from $1.5 million to over one billion dollars – you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of various projects.
What you will do

•Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment (hydraulic excavators, cranes, graders, trucks, aerial work platforms, etc.).
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Prioritize interventions based on site needs and schedules.
• Ensure that all interventions comply with manufacturer standards and Pomerleau's internal policies.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise construction equipment mechanics.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Train team members on procedures, best practices, and safety measures.
• Apply and enforce occupational health and safety standards on all mechanical interventions.
• Manage the inventory of parts, tools, and consumables.
• Collaborate with external suppliers for the purchase of parts or specialized repairs.


This role could be for you if you have

•A minimum of 3 years of experience as a team leader
• A valid CCQ companion card
• A valid driver's license – Class 5
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent diagnostic ability and strong autonomy.
• Motivating leadership and good priority management.
