The WAHA Redevelopment Project is a $1.8B transformative initiative in Northern Ontario aimed at strengthening healthcare for communities through the delivery of a state-of-the-art hospital and healthcare facility. The project consists of four buildings: a Hospital, Long-Term Care Facility, and Staff & Patient Accommodations. Due to the scale and remote nature of the project, strong logistics coordination and operational alignment are essential to ensuring materials, services, and logistics partners operate efficiently and safely.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, Logistics, the Logistics Assistant Project Manager (APM), will support the day to day operations of the logistics function by coordinating communication across teams, managing operational meetings, supporting logistics properties, and acting as a key liaison with third party logistics providers.

This is a rotational position based in Moosonee, Ontario, operating on a fly-in/fly-out schedule of 14 days on and 7 days off.
What you will do
• Serve as a primary point of contact for logistics-related communications with internal project teams, ensuring timely and accurate information flow
• Provide regular updates on operational issues, logistics activities, and project progress to internal stakeholders
• Support escalation management by gathering information, coordinating responses, and working with subject matter experts to resolve issues
• Schedule, coordinate, attend, and support recurring operational meetings with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Site, Subtrades)
• Assist with the operational oversight of logistics sites, yards, or distribution properties as assigned.
• Coordinate maintenance requests, vendor activities, inspections, and compliance tasks related to logistics properties.
• Act as the day to day liaison with subtrades to ensure high service quality and operational alignment.
• Monitor service levels, verify performance metrics, and help resolve operational challenges.
• Support contract compliance activities by documenting issues, tracking KPIs, and maintaining communication logs.
• Assist with planning and execution of logistics related projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and process documentation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective action implementation when operational issues arise.
• Contribute to developing SOPs, workflows, and improvements to logistics processes.

This role could be for you if you have:
• A post-secondary diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience supporting logistics, operations, or construction-related projects, preferably in a large-scale or remote environment
• Strong coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort working with data and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners
