Reporting to the Regional Logisitics and Procurement manager BC, the incumbent will be responsible for receiving requests from construction sites, planning, executing, or distributing them to the appropriate department, and ensuring proper follow-up on these requests.
The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the tracking, coordination, and availability of company equipment to support operational needs. This role ensures that equipment is procured, deployed, maintained, and returned in a timely and cost‑effective manner. The Equipment Coordinator works closely with the Equipment manager, operations, logistics, maintenance, and vendors to ensure equipment readiness, compliance, and accurate inventory records.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication are essential to ensure minimal downtime and efficient asset utilization.
What you will do

• • Receive all requests from construction sites within the assigned region, take ownership of them, decide whether to use the company’s internal fleet or the procurement department to fulfill received requests and distribute them to the appropriate service departments.
• Assist in the procurement of new company assets in line with Pomerleau procedures
• Ensure all new assets are painted, decaled and prepared for use asap after delivery.
• Fulfill requests for shipping of equipment and consumables departing from the warehouse or yard; control inventory of both through transfers and inventory control measures
• Carry out purchases and rentals of small equipment as required for projects in line with procurement processes
• Complete purchase orders and obtain relevant approval of purchase orders.
• Search for innovative products and new suppliers for the respective provinces.
• Follow up on out-of-stock products, delivery note reconciliations with purchase orders and invoice approval.
• Request bids from suppliers.
• Collaborate, support and implement/optimize corporate agreements with procurement specialists.
• Evaluate and ensure the quality of the logistics services provided, follow up where required and make recommendations to improve performance;
• This role may require limited manual labour in the equipment yard.
• Other duties as direct by the Logistics manager as the role develops


This role could be for you if you have

• A technical background in logistics or procurement;
• More than 5 years of experience in logistics management;
• Excellent communication and negociation skills, able to build and maintain working relationships;
• High level of autonomy, able to deal with last-minute requests;
• Prepared to travel within their respective province, as required.
