As a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Operator within Pomerleau’s Surveying Department, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and ensuring compliance of flight operations on our job sites. You will contribute to the centralization of expertise to maintain a high level of rigor, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Working on large-scale construction projects—ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion—you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the advancement of technological practices and the optimization of field operations.
What you will do

• Act as a dedicated drone pilot for project operations
• Plan and carry out flights in compliance with Canadian aviation regulations (Transport Canada)
• Ensure inspection, maintenance, and updating of equipment (drones, sensors, software)
• Manage batteries according to established protocols
• Actively contribute to setting up and organizing the Ste-Catherine workshop (processes, loan forms, checklists, standards)
• Ensure rigorous monitoring of operations (documentation, compliance, traceability)
• Collaborate with project teams to maximize the use of collected data


This role could be for you if you have

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in drone piloting
• An Advanced Drone Pilot Certificate (Transport Canada – SATP)
• Strong knowledge and application of civil aviation regulations
• A strong commitment to rigor, safety, and compliance
• High availability for travel
• The ability to work independently in a dedicated role
• An interest in a field-based role combined with technical responsibilities
