What you will do

• Review and analyze the project’s permanent works drawings and specifications;
• Analyze the specifications for the temporary works to be designed;
• Identify the best options for temporary works, aligned with the schedule and overall construction methods, and anticipate potential challenges;
• Perform preliminary sizing of temporary works (special formwork, pile driving templates, platforms, walkways and temporary bridges, steel structures, cofferdams, temporary shoring systems, etc.);
• Coordinate and produce, in collaboration with the modeler and technician, the models and drawings of temporary works required during preconstruction;
• Prepare technical notes and calculation packages for temporary works;
• Participate in the internal review process of engineering deliverables;
• Sign and seal temporary works drawings;
• Provide technical support to the construction team for installation and compliance with methods;
• Certify the compliance of specific temporary works, when required;
• Act as a credible and reliable technical resource for stakeholders.

This role could be for you if you have

• A fully licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);

• Strong proficiency with Advance Design or other finite element analysis software;
• Proficiency with AutoCAD;
• Knowledge of Revit or Civil 3D (an asset).

Benefits
