As a member of the Building Projects Design and Technical Management team (Industrial market), the Industrial Process Integration Manager serves as the process subject matter expert for Pomerleau on projects involving the design and construction of industrial systems and the facilities that house them.

He or she is responsible for:

• Overseeing and managing the design of the industrial process developed by specialized firms or partners,
• Ensuring the consistent integration of the process within the building and infrastructure,
• Supporting the execution of the work through to commissioning.
What you will do

• Oversee and coordinate engineering firms responsible for process design (chemical, mechanical, automation, etc.).
• Manage compliance of the design with process requirements.
• Validate proposed concepts and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Translate process requirements and specifications into design inputs and requirements for building and facility design.
• Establish and manage interface management processes and tools between the process and building disciplines (architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil).
• Identify risks related to the industrial process (safety, environmental, operational) and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
• Support procurement and construction teams during project execution and commissioning in relation to the process.
• Collaborate with internal project management, design, and construction teams.
• Ensure smooth communication between the client, process designers, and execution teams.
• Contribute to resolving technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.


This role could be for you if you have

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Process Engineering), Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with experience in industrial processes
• Be a member of the OIQ or eligible (EIT / P.Eng.), considered an asset
• Have at least 10 years of professional experience
• Experience in design (professional services) and/or manufacturing and production, considered an asset
• Experience in construction, considered an asset
• Strong understanding of industrial processes
• Ability to oversee specialized designers
• Strong multidisciplinary integration skills
• Sound engineering judgment applied to complex projects
• Strong coordination and technical communication skills
• Familiarity with BIM approaches, tools, and platforms
