As Manager, Benefits and Pension Plans, you will be responsible for the management, evolution, and governance of our benefits and retirement programs. You will also provide leadership to a team of two employees, ensuring high quality service delivery, employee development, and continuous improvement of practices.

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, you will act as a strategic partner to HR Business Partners, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure our programs remain competitive, compliant, effective, and well-managed.
What you will do

Team, Vendor, and Project Management
•Supervise, coach, and develop a team of two professionals specializing in benefits, pension plans, and related programs.
•Oversee activity planning, work prioritization, and effective workload distribution within the team.
•Monitor deliverables, timelines, issues, and recommendations related to projects under your responsibility.
•Lead or coordinate strategic projects focused on the enhancement, harmonization, and evolution of benefit programs.
•Participate in the selection, evaluation, and optimization of service providers.
•Manage relationships with vendors, insurers, consultants, and external partners.

Benefits Strategy and Management
•Oversee the overall management of benefits, wellness, and retirement programs to ensure they remain competitive, consistent, and aligned with business objectives.
•Evaluate program competitiveness and recommend enhancements that support attraction, retention, and employee experience.
•Develop analyses, recommendations, and action plans related to the evolution of the total rewards offering.
•Advise HR partners and managers on program administration and complex issues within your area of expertise.

Pension Plans and Group Savings Programs
•Ensure the governance, compliance, and administration of pension plans and group savings programs.
•Oversee activities related to pension plans, including coordination with insurers, consultants, actuaries, and other external partners.
•Ensure the quality of administrative processes and consistency of practices across the organization.
•Coordinate improvement initiatives, communications, and program updates.

Disability Management and Extended Leaves
•Provide oversight for disability management and extended leave practices in collaboration with HR partners, insurers, and relevant stakeholders.
•Support the team in managing complex cases and ensure a consistent, fair, and policy-compliant approach.
•Contribute to the improvement of prevention, accommodation, and return-to-work practices.
•Act as a resource person for internal partners on sensitive matters or situations requiring strategic guidance.

This role could be for you if you have

•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
•Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in benefits, pension plans, or total rewards.
•Experience managing a team or demonstrated leadership in coaching, developing, or coordinating professionals.
•In-depth knowledge of Canadian and Quebec legislation related to employee benefits, group savings, and pension plans.
•Experience managing vendors, complex projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Demonstrated ability to structure complex information and provide clear, practical, business-oriented recommendations.
•Strong aptitude for digital tools and a keen interest in AI applications, automation, and employee self-service solutions.
•Interest in process optimization, automation, and the application of artificial intelligence in the workplace.
•Bilingualism (French and English) is required due to regular interactions with employees, vendors, consultants, and partners located outside Quebec.
