Job Description

Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you.
We are Pomerleau. And you could be too.
At Pomerleau, we understand that our mission goes beyond building infrastructure or erecting buildings—we are building communities. As a leader in the construction industry for nearly 60 years, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of the people we serve across Canada.
To achieve this, we make every effort to listen to their needs, keep future realities in mind, and innovate to work in a more engaged, collaborative, and sustainable way. Together, we are redefining our practice—for the benefit of our industry and future generations.
Your Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Content and Social Media Specialist plays a key role in enhancing Pomerleau’s brand presence across digital platforms. This position goes far beyond the day-to-day management of social media channels.
We are looking for a creative, proactive, and strategic individual who enjoys being in the field, engaging with teams, capturing real moments, and transforming them into meaningful and engaging content. Storytelling is at the heart of this role: the ability to identify stories, structure them, and communicate them effectively through both visuals and words.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement organic social media strategies by channel to strengthen Pomerleau’s online presence and grow its national audience (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and any other channel used by the company).
• Participate in on-site activities to create original content: site visits, events, internal meetings, and more.
• Create, write, and publish engaging content tailored to each platform.
• Optimize content performance based on results and trends.
• Manage online communities and interactions.
• Support crisis and issue management through social media monitoring.
• Train internal stakeholders on social media best practices.
• Monitor competitors and trends.
• Collaborate with teams to identify content opportunities.
• Develop storytelling initiatives to showcase projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in social media management.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
• Strong storytelling and writing abilities.
• Analytical mindset and ability to measure performance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry or related sectors is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently with content creation tools such as Canva and Adobe Express is an asset
• Knowledge of the Wrike project management tool is an asset

The selected candidate will complete a writing and content creation test.
Benefits
• RRSP with up to 5% employer matching

• Hybrid work model for corporate roles
• Employee stock ownership program
• Career growth through real development opportunities
• Transit pass reimbursement — get to work for free
• Minimum 4 weeks of vacation from day one

For the past six years, we've proudly held the distinction of being one of Canada's Top 100 Employers.
