Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Compensation Advisor plays a key role in both the development and execution of Pomerleau’s total rewards programs.

You contribute to the design, evolution, and optimization of compensation programs, while ensuring their effective day-to-day implementation.
You act as a trusted partner to managers and HR teams by providing rigorous analyses, tailored recommendations, and hands-on support in applying compensation practices.

Your role focuses primarily on direct compensation, with occasional involvement in employee benefits.
Responsibilities:




• Actively participate in the management of annual compensation cycles (salary review, bonuses), including coordination, tracking, and support to managers.
• Analyze compensation requests (offers, adjustments, promotions) and provide recommendations in alignment with established frameworks.
• Support managers and HR partners in the application of programs and policies.
• Contribute to the design, evolution, and optimization of total rewards programs (salary structures, policies, processes).
• Participate in market analyses and develop recommendations to maintain external competitiveness and internal equity.
• Collaborate on updating compensation policies, guidelines, and tools to ensure consistency and alignment with business needs.
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose practical solutions to optimize practices, processes, and tools.
• Produce and monitor metrics, analyses, and reports related to compensation and budgets.
• Work closely with various teams (HR, payroll, finance) to ensure consistency and smooth processes.


Education, Qualifications and Experience:


• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in compensation or a similar role.
• Experience in data analysis and strong proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with total rewards systems and/or HRIS (an asset).
Member of the CRHA Order (an asset).
• Bilingual.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Ability to influence and simplify complex concepts.
• High level of rigor, autonomy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
