The IT technician is responsible for providing technical support to internal users, both in person and remotely. They primarily operate out of the Montréal office and handle the resolution of issues related to workstations, software, access, and network connectivity. This role requires advanced technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of service in order to maintain team productivity.
What you will do

• Provide technical support in person and remotely for workstations, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Deploy, configure, and update employee IT equipment in the Montréal area (computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, headsets).
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, and other technical issues.
• Install software on workstations.
• Manage requests via the IT email inbox and the ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Collaborate with the IT coordinator team to escalate complex issues.
• Participate in the deployment of new equipment and local IT projects.
• Document interventions and keep internal procedures up to date.
• Contribute to the management and updating of the IT inventory.
• Comply with and promote the company’s IT security policies and standards.
• Act as a technical reference for colleagues and share best practices.

This role could be for you if you have

• Education: DEC in Computer Technology or equivalent training.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role, ideally in a corporate environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with ManageEngine tools such as AD Manager and Endpoint Central (asset).
• Familiarity with the Okta platform (asset).
• Knowledge of Forti Authenticator multi-factor authentication system (asset).
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• Autonomy, adaptability, rigor, and a strong customer service orientation.
