The Director of Communications and Community Relations adapts and leads the project's internal and external communication strategy, as well as its community relations strategy. This person ensures the connection with the client and promotes the project’s image and achievements. They are responsible for stakeholder management.
What you will do

General Coordination
• Validate the communications mandate with the client according to the contract
• Define the department’s strategy and objectives
• Organize the structure of the Communications and Community Relations department
• Draft communications and community relations deliverables
• Support the Project Director and the Steering Committee
• Participate in the Steering Committee
• Serve as the primary communications contact for the client
• Optimize the project’s internal and external identity and image
• Collaborate with the client on the communications and community relations strategy
• Define the project’s communication actions
• Manage the related budget
• Structure, guide, mobilize, and support the communications team
• Oversee public affairs
• Support and coach spokespersons
• Ensure positive relationships with stakeholders

Client Relations
• Act as the primary liaison with the client

Site Relations
• Maintain relations with the steering committee, the project director, and the project’s communications and community relations team



This role could be for you if you have

• University degree in Communications, Marketing, or any other relevant field
• At least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
• Valid driver’s license
• Process-oriented
• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
