The Regional Director – Talent Acquisition will report to the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition, Systems & Data & Workforce Planning and will play a dual role as an operator and builder. They will be a key member of the Talent Acquisition leadership team as we deliver today’s hiring needs while contributing to shape the future of hiring at Pomerleau.

We are beginning our AI-native journey with a strong focus on system and data readiness over the course of the next 12 months. Our ambition is to become a function that leverages data and predictive insights in our decision-making and has increased capability through embedded automation and AI capabilities.

What you will do

• Lead the corporate Talent Acquisition function in the following regions: British Columbia, Ontario & the Atlantic Provinces and the Campus Recruitment Team nationally.
• Develop and elevate a team of recruiters with a special focus on the following skills: data literacy, structured decision-making, adoption and advanced usage of new tech stack tools.
• Deliver strong operational results to meet the needs of our fast-growing business.
• Actively collaborate with the TA Leadership Team to develop and build the future of the function in a cohesive and consistent way at the national level.
• Contribute to the maturing and/or improvement of TA business processes, workflows, tools and operating models that ensure scalability that meets current and future needs.
• Increasingly leverage workforce planning capabilities, hiring data and AI to shift to a trusted driver of talent strategy (predictive hiring for 80% of roles being the ultimate end goal).
• Support the embedding of key specialities within the function such as strategic sourcing, business and market intelligence, international recruitment etc.
• Partner with the business and the wider HR function as a trusted thought leader on all things attraction and hiring from the team lead to the VP level.
• Act as a promoter of the use of the current HR tech stack as well participate in the testing, piloting and operational launch of new tools.

This role could be for you if you have:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition in increasingly complex scopes and mandates.
• 5 years of formal leadership experience, preferably with dispersed or remote teams.
• Demonstrated success meeting objectives while operating in an ambiguous and changing environment.
• Strong visionary leadership coupled with the ability to operationally execute required deliverables to make goals a reality.
• Strong influential leader – you can act as a change agent cross-functionally.
• Team player – you work well with a dispersed leadership team with various expertise and in a matrix model in collaboration with other company stakeholders.

Nice to haves:

• Curiosity specifically when it comes to technology, data and AI (expertise is not required, but a strong desire to learn is)
• Previous experience with HR technologies and process transformation or with a corporate digitalization transformation.
• Industry experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing or project-based environments (an asset).

• Bilingualism English and French (an asset).
